13 Years of Summer XP

In 2013, our church began a new ministry, trusting that God was inviting us to serve our community in a new way. In that year, a program called Kids Bible Adventure started at Miller Elementary School and Bauer Community Center. Kids entering Kindergarten through 6th grade were invited to participate in an evening experience filled with songs, Bible stories, crafts, games, and a meal for everyone who came.
In 2015, the program was renamed Summer XP, and it quickly became a beloved tradition for many children and families in our church and community. Earlier this spring, we shared that a team of leaders had discerned that our season of Summer XP had come to a close. This past Sunday, we celebrated the stories, relationships, and memories that have shaped Summer XP over the years, along with all the ways God has shared His love through this ministry.
We have no doubt that Summer XP has impacted thousands of lives in our church and community. Through friendships formed, volunteers serving, families connected, and children growing in faith, God has worked in remarkable ways. For just a small sample of the lives that have been touched by this ministry, we invite you to watch our story here.
As we look to the future, we invite you to join us in prayer for the ways God is calling us forward in faith with this next generation of children and families. Pray that we would listen well for God's leading, follow the movement of the Holy Spirit faithfully, and continue to build meaningful connections with the children and families God has placed in our community.
