We had nearly 50 kids register for the three evenings of Summer XP with us, both from The Grove and from the Miller Elementary communities. At Summer XP, we fed children and families a delicious dinner, sang fun and playful songs with lots of movement, opened God’s word to learn a Bible story, got kids moving with games, did hands-on science projects that connected to the lesson, and had so much fun together!

Children and their families had the chance to play in a log cabin each night in our entry area, and that cabin will soon have a home in our outdoor play space at The Grove. Another highlight of the week was exploring the lights in our black light room – we were able to explore light and imagine what the Northern Lights might look like, just as if we were looking at the real thing!

We had an incredible team of over 60 people who prepared for and served at Summer XP and gave so generously of their time and talents. We celebrate that so many adults and teens joined us to serve, and we were delighted to see all the ways that those who served were able to get to know each other a little better as well. Thank you to each and every one of you for being a blessing to children and families in our community!
