Gather 2026

At the end of June, “The Evangelical Covenant Church” denomination (Covenant) gathered at the Grand Hyatt Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona, for the 141st Annual Meeting of the Evangelical Covenant Church. The Annual Meeting is the highest authority in the denomination. The theme of this year’s meeting was “One Another.” The event also marked the historic milestone of fifty years since the Covenant voted to ordain women as pastors. Leaning into the value the Covenant holds on celebrating women in ministry, women preached at every worship service and led devotions each morning. Tammy Swanson Draheim was also reelected to her second term as President of the Evangelical Covenant Church.
Each year, the highlights of Gather include welcoming new churches into the denomination, commissioning Covenant Missionaries, ordaining clergy, and honoring clergy with vocational service awards. This year, Pastor Stacey was one of those honored for his years of service in the Covenant.
