Invitation to the 2025 Kids Christmas Program and Worship Service

2025-12-9 | Pastor Chuck Potts

Here at The Grove Covenant Church, we like to take a Sunday each year during Advent to allow our Children’s and Middle School Youth Ministries to lead our congregation in worship through a creative telling of the Christmas story. This special Christmas Program worship service is this coming Sunday, December 14th, and you are invited and encouraged to attend! Bring your friends… bring your family… come and see this original Nativity Story skit and musical called “Christmas Brainstorm”.

And to get you excited, here is a quick synopsis of this original Nativity story skit and musical:

“To prepare for Christmas at The Grove this year, Joel and Grace (played by Joel Travis and Grace Stanfield) have been tasked with writing and preparing the Kids Christmas program. Having been a part of the production for years, they are both bored of the old and tired ways of telling the story and are determined to come up with a new and epic way of telling the tale. But as they come together to brainstorm and discuss new ideas, their Grandpa (played by Joshua Mueller) listens in and is not happy with the ideas they’ve come up with. Will they settle on a new idea and script in time, or will their writers block keep them spiraling with crazy ideas?”

Joining Joel, Grace and Joshua in the cast are Millie Travis, Malachi Dickinson, Colin Rambo, Charlotte Coates, Joel Wiley, Serena Jewell, Caleb Martin, Abram Sheets, and Sean Potts.

We hope you will join us for this special program this coming Sunday at our normal 10:30am worship service time. It will be a shortened service, as we will also have a reception with treats and drinks in the lobby after, where we hope you will have time to share with the kids and with one another.

And as a reminder for our kids and families: The cast members will be rehearsing on Saturday morning at 10am. For Sunday morning, cast members should arrive at 8:30am for the final dress rehearsals before the service, and all kids singing in the choir should arrive by 9:30am.

We look forward to sharing this time of worship and reflection with you this Advent season!
