Victories, Challenges, and the Way Forward

2025-5-13 | Pastor Stacey Littlefield

On Sunday, May 18, immediately following worship, we will come together over a meal, fellowship with one another, and then we will gather for a congregational meeting. We will hear reports on the mission and ministry of The Grove Covenant Church, vote on five potential new members, and present the 2025-2026 budget for discussion and approval.

While all our meetings matter, and every item we cover in those meetings is important, council sees this meeting as more important than most. And I agree.

This meeting is important because it is time to take a closer look at the financial realities in which we find ourselves and to discover a strategic and intentional way forward.

To be clear, we are not in crisis. God has been faithful over the years, and we have no doubt God will continue to do so! Rather, we are trying to look ahead with faith and purpose, and we want to share some things with you.

There are some challenges on the horizon and the congregational meeting is the best place to begin a discussion on how to meet those challenges well. Our hope is that we will be better informed—for prayer and action—and that we leave the meeting encouraged and committed to the path ahead, with enthusiasm, gratitude, and faith.

But this meeting will not only be about the challenges! It will also be about the victories. We will celebrate some of the ways those who went before us stepped out in faith and were met by a faithful God over and over again.

To that end, I invite and encourage you to be a part of this important conversation.

Whether you are a member of The Grove Covenant Church or not, if you call us your church home, please plan to join us.

Thank you for reading this far. Now, it’s time for a call to action.

Using the buttons below, please let us know that you plan to attend the meal and if you need childcare during the meeting, what side or dessert you can bring for the meal, and if you can volunteer to help serve or clean up on that day.

We cannot do it without you!

In the meantime, we invite you to be in prayer for the meeting, and I hope to see you there.
